Who is behind the lens?

Alison Doshen is a self-taught photographer from the suburbs of Chicago and has been taking pictures since childhood. Landscapes and nature were her first inspirations and she has found a new passion over the years photographing lost and forgotten places. Alison enjoys capturing the architectural features that have been lost in time and her goal is to help save and preserve these places through her photographs. Alison’s photos have been published in The Daily Herald and Vacate Magazine: Issue III and Issue IV, and she was featured on WGN Channel 9 News Chicago’s Very Own. She is also the author of Abandoned Chicago: Decay in the Windy City.
